Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Residen ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Residen provides cloud-based property management software including but not limited to property and unit management, tenant management, lease management, rent collection, maintenance tracking, accounting, and reporting.

3. Account Registration

You must register for an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.

4. Subscription and Billing

The Service is offered on a subscription basis. You agree to pay the applicable subscription fees. Fees are billed monthly in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law. We may change our fees with 30 days advance notice.

5. Your Data

You retain all rights to your data. We will not access, use, or share your data except as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law. You may export your data at any time. Upon account termination, we will retain your data for 30 days before permanent deletion.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Upload malicious code or content
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability. We will provide advance notice of scheduled maintenance when possible.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Residen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may cancel your subscription through your account settings. We may terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you may export your data within 30 days.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
